PERSPECTIVE

Step 4: Design

After your home visit, your designer will take the information gathered and create a preliminary design and pricing. This step takes approximately two weeks. To create your custom plan your designer will:

›  Create. Your designer fits your unique needs to your individual space. It is a process of thinking and revising. Often it involves discussing with various players (other designers and/or manufacturers to find creative ways to design your space to be less costly and to fit your needs more closely).
›  Plan. We want you to be easily able to envision the space we have created for you. That means developing a plan (view looking down) and key perspectives (angled views so you can see your space three dimensionally). Again as your design evolves there will be changes and it then takes time to adapt your plans and perspectives.
›  Estimate. Once you designer has put together your custom design, then they must develop your estimate. This includes making product recommendations based upon your wish list and items that you consider a priority. Our recommendations are based upon previous experience with, as well as current research, on products, manufacturers, suppliers, etc.

The longer we are able to evolve the design for your space, the better your plan (design and estimate).

Once your plan is complete, you will be asked to make another appointment so your designer can present to you, your custom plan. Together you will continue to refine the plan until you are satisfied with every detail.

Prior to ordering your cabinets your designer will:

›  Need to know the appliances you have decided upon, since they can often change the cabinetry needs.
›  Need a 50% deposit.

Note: If you are a visual person and would like to stand in your kitchen with the plans and perspectives, we charge a fee of $2,500. This fee will be applied to your later cabinet purchase.

Timing: This process can take weeks or months depending on how quickly you make decisions and feel comfortable with them.
