Step 5: Ordering (Timing) 

Once your designer has ordered your cabinets and other products, the timelines vary.

For cabinetry your order will be ready for delivery in approximately:
›  Wood-Mode: 12 weeks
›  Brookhaven: 9 weeks
›  Superior Woodcraft: 8 weeks
›  Talora: 6 weeks

Teknika Design Group will of course be happy to offer our opinions of products and show you examples found in our showroom. However, we can only give you detailed timelines and recommendations if we are purchasing materials for you and/or providing our project management skill to your project. If we are not ordering the materials, we have no way to control timing, so getting the materials on time is left to you or your contractor. Below is a general timeframe for products associated with kitchen and bath projects.

For countertops the appointment to template (measure) takes about two weeks to schedule. This appointment must be done after your cabinets and appliances are installed. Your plumbing fixtures or plumbing fixture templates (if new) will be taken to the fabricator to make sure the appropriate cuts are made. After the template, it usually takes two weeks until installation.

For plumbing fixtures many are available with one week if they are in stock. We will inform you when to expect them once they are ordered. It is always best to allow at least six weeks before they are needed.

Appliances vary in ordering time. It can take as long as eight weeks or as little as one week. Again allow at least eight weeks to insure on time delivery.

Tile and Flooring is entirely dependent on the manufacturer. We can work with you to insure timely delivery.

Hardware takes between two and six weeks.

Lighting usually takes between three and five weeks.
